Photographs collected by Associated Press newspaper reporter Gordon Greenleaf McNab of Portland, Or. Most of the images are aerial reconnaissance photographs of the Japanese occupation of Kiska Island in the Aleutians during World War II in 1943, documenting the Japanese installations, bombing runs, and the geography of the island. There is also one photograph of a 155mm gun on Adak Island in 1947.
